Pop the ESOF hubs out and see if the driveshaft turns freely with them removed. If so, replacing them with manual lockers would be more cost effective. A vacuum leak would not cause hub engagement. Vacuum apples the hubs.

I replaced warn non-premium with MileMarker. Way better, all metal and $99 on amazon. Highly recommended.

Annual maintenance will keep the operational indefinitely. I do mine in July, that way they're ready for December.

I think my main issue is last year I had to drive in 3 feet of waves at pismo beach to go pick up a friend at the entrance. Used salt away when I got back but didn't get it all off. My rear brakes had issues dragging few months back

Ouch. Salt water.

Pro tip: take them out and soak overnight in your used motor oil bucket.
