Or just use some factory hangers off the front of the rear springs.

Also. Are you trying to get lift from flipping the shackle? If so, you won't get much if any at all with the factory hanger bolted on like that.
I'm thinking when I get it back together and set down, the shackle angle will correct itself.

The only reason I flipped the hanger is to get aboyt 2 inches of lift in the back. I bought the 2 inch coils for the front so if I did use a front hanger for the rear it would be to much of a rake.

This guy installed them and got about 4-5 inches.
If I was looking for that much lift I would have went that way.

Don't listen to what the guys in the 73-79 section say, that angle is a bit too much to correct itself with wt on it IMPO.

Listen to Dave. The 73-79 forum can choke on a bag of phallic objects.

Ideally you want a 20* rake to the rear on shackles under normal load at ride height.

If you buy a kit get it from Dan at ruffstuff. Its a better more complete kit versus what sky has.

Use labor20 for 20% off your order for the next few days or pbb10 for 10% off anytime

I also painted the shackles. It's *louder* then I expected but It'll do.

Bolt the shackle up top and bottom then move the front hanger back until its slightly less than vertical (maybe a 1/2" off vertical) then mark your holes. This "should" be real close to 20* with the bed on. I think youlld find the front hanger needs to be moved about 1.5-2"

Not quite Kris. He is trying to net 2 inches of lift. So, might. It have to move the front hangers at all. Just the rears. Hard to say withou the bed on to see if the tire sits centered in the wheel well. If you do have to move the front hanger, might be 3/4 inch at most.
