1948 F-2 front fenders attachment

I need a picture of where the lower rear section of the front fenders attach to the cab area !!!

The rear bottom of the fenders bolt to a semi-circular filler piece. I don't remember exactly how it is all bolted together but I think the bottom of the fenders bolt to the filler piece and to the running boards. The filler piece is also bolted to the part of the running board that curves up.

Like Bob said, the fenders don't attach to the cab itself. The bottom of the fenders bolt to the front edge of the running board.

we are restoring one that came, in a large, pile from another shop. I suspected the fenders bolted to the running boards, but since we do not have them, I wasn't sure ! I was quite surprised to see the fenders do not attach to the cab !

Maybe this will help:





Parts 16040 and 16041 are the pieces I'm referring to.

Here's a shot of my filler panel and running board. The arrow is pointing to where a bolt should be, but I guess I forgot to put one in 15+ years ago.
