Trying to get somethings buttoned up so that I can fire the motor up once i get it back from the machine shop. Today I did a little work to my radiator support. Some of you guys might remember that I welded two supports together in order to move the radiator forward. In doing this, there was barely any clearance between the rear most radiator support and lower radiator outlet. To fix this, I just used a piece of exhaust tubing to put a notch in the support. Should be plenty of room to get a hose in there now.
I have been buttoning up my lower fenders, and noticed some rust in the grill that I bought a few years. Ended up having to replace a large section of the bottom. Got it all finished though and just need to re attach the lower grill bar.
Finished up the grill today. I think it turned out pretty well. I also started on the right front fender where the running board bolts to it. Got the patch mostly to shape, just needs a little bit of tweaking yet to make it perfect.
I made the patch myself with my shrinker/stretcher set. Those things have been so helpful since I got them. I just need to round the wheel opening section of the patch to match the fender.
WOW, that's great, Nick! I'm having a hard time justifying that kind of expense for just this one truck.
Thanks!
I got the Eastwood set on sale a few years ago. I think I spent $200 for a pair of bodies and jaws. Makes it nice not to have to switch jaws every time I want to switch between shrinking and stretching. I know some people on here recommend not to get the cheap ones like this, but I have not had any trouble working with 18 gauge with this Eastwood set.
