Finished welding up the handle and lock portion of the door. I started on some holes that somebody punched in the door at some point. I opened the holes up with a hole saw and filled them in with some washers. Didn't get to completely finish that and forgot to get pictures of the washers in place.

I think I liked Eaton as a company better than Mack. They seem to operate smoother and have a bit better culture than Mack. On the other hand, I liked what I was doing at Mack more than what I was doing at Eaton. I was quality at Eaton and Manufacturing Engineering at Mack. I learned a lot about quality, including that it is not what I want to do.
Eaton did extend me an offer at the end of the internship. I might be crazy, but I decided not to accept it. It was for more than enough money, but I would not know where the job would be, or what the position would be until next summer. I just couldn't accept the offer with that much uncertainty. I could have ended up somewhere that I don't like doing something that I do not like. I do already have some leads on other jobs, and the fact that I had an offer before my senior year even started made me confident that it wouldn't be the only offer that I got.
I will be second guessing myself until I have a job locked down though haha.

Hey Nick,
Take your time & interview with a lot of different companies
& look for a good match at a company where you feel comfortable.
Your jobs will change over time - try to get with a company that feels right
& treats it's employees well.
Good luck over there - You are doing great both on your truck & at life.

Finally got another good part of the day to work on the truck! Continued work on the corner of the door and I think it came out pretty nice. Definitely better than it was. I also finally got springs and shocks on the front of the truck. Me and my dad flipped the cab up so that on monday I can paint the firewall and put bedliner underneath the cab. Hopefully gonna pull the motor as well and get it to my motor guy to start rebuilding it!
