Hello, I'd like to know what kind of things can be done to a 1995 Flareside to make it look better. Specifically, how do you get that black stuff off the truck? I have no idea what it is, but it won't come off with conventional methods. (i.e. a sponge/rag and soap and water) I want to make it shine but don't exactly know how. Also, how can you unfog up the head lights? Thanks for any help!

In all seriousness, what black stuff are you talking about? Road grime? Is it on the front of the truck mainly around the headlights and front of the hood? Could be chips? If it is just dirt, they have some nice cleaners at the parts stores that come in spray bottles. I dont recall what the name is but I have used it to get my aluminum wheels free of brake dust... Nasty stuff those brakes.

As for the clouded headlights.. Autozone sells a 3M headlight restore kit for 20 bucks that works awesome. All you need is a drill. I mentioned that cause I have used it personally. You can always go with some rubbing compound also which just takes a little more work by hand or you can use a drill and buff pad with it also.
