what voltage should be getting to the glow plugs????? 6.9 IDI
I dont know what year it is, read my previous thread, i am having starting issues. Truck is IN New Zealand, so limited amount of parts and Info.
Took out AC8g, AC delco plugs... 6v?? But have ordered a set of the motorcraft ZD1A from ROCKAUTO.
Took the workshop manual to it tonite, and did a simple volt meter test at the end of the wire that clips onto the 8mm spade terminal of the glow plug. 12v.... Why did it have 6v plugs?? should the voltage be less?
Am i wrong to order what i have? seems to be no afterglow etc... just on with the timer, then clicks off. no starting issues till our winter, and the ute was parked up for 4 months.... All the 8 AC8G plugs are dead, not even a bit of heat...
Its fitted into an r/h drive aussie f100, so all aftermarket wiring etc....
