60 F100 Dash ?

I started restoring the inside of the cab of my 60. This might be a dumb question, but how the heck do you take off the control ***** on the dash? I figured they just twisted on or off but I can't seem to figure it out.

there should be a little set screw you need to take out. For the headlight switch I think you push a tiny button on the bottom on the switch and the whole rod/**** comes out.

It depends on the switch/cable..

headlight switch: pull switch to on position then from backside of dash theres a small button thats easily felt...press it down fully then tug on the shaft and it will come straight out...
Vent cables...the ***** arent removable from the cable...theres a nut on the backside of each...loosen that and pull the cable forward away from the dash for masking if you are painting.
wiper switch...theres a set screw(allen head)...loosen it and the **** slides off the shaft..

The others are straight forward(cig. lighter and glove box door)
