1994 f150 break lights

Id assume you are not blowing fuses? And, your lights are on a fuse, not a circuit breaker?
Check the wiring. Id start with something near the back and work your way forward. I believe the wiring goes to the back left and then crosses over to the right, but I may be wrong. I do not have a schematic.

My guess is the multi function switch.
Has the truck sit for long periods? If so there is a common problem with Ford multi function switches. What happens is the copper plated contacts get corroded, (that green stuff) and do not make contact. You can try spaying you switch with WD-40 and work the switch to clean the contacts. You can also take it apart and mechanically clean them and lube with dielectric grease.
Or you can just replace the switch.
