new code reader

well had to by my wife a newer car, 2007 kia rio, parked her old 70 mustang. knew i was going to have to get a code reader that would read obd2, can bus. the one i got the deal on is a innova 3140, does can/obd2 and obd1. i still have my old innova 3143, you know the one thats the size of a cigarette pack and blinks the codes out. wonder what kind of a improvement this newer model will have over the old blinky.
