Carb Question

Hello,
I did some searching but can't find the answer. Does anyone know if the Autoline C715 Carb sold by Rockauto among others is a replacement for the Holley 1904? It looks pretty close from the pictures.
I have a 60's era 223 six in my 52 and the carb has decided to spew fuel from the carb. I've rebuilt it 3 or times and honestly would like to replace it. Of course the fuel drips/pours right down to the manifold and I am afraid of a fire.

Thanks

not sure myself ..but the parts people are supposed to know what fits and all the upgrade stuff..if your carb is leaking the float may be flooded ..if it's a brass float ..or just set to low ..or the wonderfull gas has eaten the vitron seal ..a carb kit is still cheaper then a carb..wish I could be more help ...

Thanks, I just ordered a carb kit so I'll try that again, I checked my records and its been 4 years since I rebuilt it, so maybe its just the new gas causing it to fail. Still like to know if that carb would be a replacement that fits and works.

At one time this may have been true, but I don't place much stock in that nowadays.

According to Autozone, the Autoline C715 carb is made by Holley.

I just rebuilt the carb, had to order a kit as no one had them in stock. Cleaned it out, put in the kit, bolted it on the engine and it sprang to life! Let it warm up, then adjusted it and it seems to be 100% or close to it and no leaks so far. I'll road test it later tonight and hopefully its good for a little while longer. I'm a happy guy.
