will a 2 wheel drive trans swap into a 4x4?..

I'm trying to go through the same procedure right now, but with an automatic to a manual swap as well! - c6 4x4 F250 into a T18.
The mainshaft for the 4x4's and 4x2's for the C6's may be different, check the spline counts. At the moment, I can't recall what the 4x4's came with - either 27 or 31 spline (it's late and i've had a few!). I know that if the spline counts *are* identical, then it's a lot easier - you just have to find the adapter that goes between the C6 and the NP205, and pull apart the tailhousing to install the aforementioned adapter between the two. If the NP205 requires the 31 spline count, then it's a little trickier - you have to swap mainshafts, or find a 4x4 C6 transmission with the appropriate mainshaft already installed.
