I've got the factory manuals for my 77 F-150 (4x2), and it shows the axle vent hose routing diagrams, but for my 74 F-100, the rear crossmembers and leaf springs are spaced just a little different. Does anyone have the diagram of approx. how long the hose would be and its routing on one of the rear crossmembers (if that's where it passes thru).

My 77 has a clip on the left frame rail where the hose should attach and then is supposed to pass thru the 'front' most cross member for the gas tank.

The 74 doesn't look like it would be the same though.

The old hose was basically snapped off right at the barb/nub.

This is a '73 F100 but the routing is the same. It doesn't pass through the crossmember, it just "deadends".

 

Here's the same truck, before the restoration started. This is all original on the vent line location. You can see the hose was brittle and broken off at the vent line fitting.

 

Not to change the subject, but from what I see, that truck is going to be one sweet rig. Good job on the resto.
