Removing Inner Fender Wells..

Removing Inner Fender Wells..
I got a few questions...
Can I remove the inner fenders without removing the rad. support?
In the Haynes manual, It says theres a sealer. But I don't see any.
Are there and hidden problems I will run into?
And are there any hidden bolts?
Im gonna remove the hood by myself...not looking foward to that.
I already have the fenders, grill shell and bumper off.
Thanks for any advice!

Good point lol. I need to clean the back of it anyway.
I just got the hood off. That was a PITA!!!! I leaned over the rad. and motor, standing on my tip toes. Rested the hood on my back, put my arms at my sides, gripped the front of the hood, and lifted with my head. HOLY CRAP how much do they weigh?! I had to get down on my knees to set it on the ground. I shoulda thought that through a little better! lol

They weigh a bit. Took two of us to take mine off.
Once you drain the radiator, unhook the hoses, and lift it out, I think the only bolts left are the two at the bottom (mine were thoroughly rusty, and near impossible to get out)
Besides, if you are going to cut weld in a patch for the lower corner, its much easier to fab with your working piece laying flat rather then vertical.

If we could only get more folks to have the same addiction to these trucks as we do...we would have alot more willing helpers.

haha, I'm glad that made ya laugh grinner. I was ready for a cigarette and a beer after that!
Now, is there a trick to getting the core support off??
I managed to wrestle the driver's side inner fender off.
To get the passenger's side inner fender off I guess I gotta take the heater/AC box out. It dont work anyway.

Does anyone got some advice about the core support?
The passenger's side bolt just spins, I guess it broke off inside.
The driver's side bolt turns about about an eighth of an inch. But the top and bottom bushings turn to.

search for it and you'll find threads on removing them. But basically, extensions to get a breaker bar above the core support, and a wrench (maybe a friend) on the bottom. personally, I used giant vice grips. The goal is probably just to break the bolts. Spray some kroil or something and just soak em down, maybe you'll get them out in one piece. Probably not.

I finally wrestled them out with out removing the core support. I had to remove the heater/ac box to get the passenger's side one off.
