Thanks, guys. Since I got El Guapo back home, I haven't been able to get much done, but my car barn is getting done, so soon, I'll be able to get thrashing on it again.

Well, the car barn shell is completed. With all the rain, it took 2 weeks before they could get the floor poured. After that they got the garage doors installed. Still have to run the electric, so leaving the walls open until I can get that done.

Still lots to do, but, El Guapo now lives in it's new home.

So now I have room to work. Don't have electric up there, yet, but I have space. Electric will be coming soon.

Slowly, but surely.

Great thread, subscribed!
I guess everyone has his focus, when they start working on their car. I like your approach and I'm with you when it comes to finding a good paint- and bodyshop here in the south...
Keep going and congrats for the barn. This is the real mancave, right there. Being jealous and congrats also for your supporting wife.
Eager to see, how El Guapo turns out. Right now, I'm not planning to lower mine. Also interested to see, how you get your power on the road. Not much weight on the rear axle. Let us know, how El Guapo deals with that...

Well guys. The project got stalled. A few surgeries, nothing major, along the way kind of slowed me down, but I've been working on finishing off the interior of the car barn, and built an office, clean room for building engines, and a loft. Got all the electric run, 26 circuits, and have just gotten the garage doors trimmed out. I've got the corugated metal for the interior walls and am putting that up now. As soon as the weather is warm enough, I am going to put down epoxy on the floor, and then it's essentially done. Okay, have to get the ceiling fans up, and the air handler installed so I have some AC for summertime, but pretty much done. Then, I am back on to El Guapo, going to get it done, finally.

Glad to hear the project is still on going. Seems to me you have hit a lot of rough patches along the way. Reading your build has made my little project less overwhelming. Looking forward to seeing El Guapo get finished. I bet you could sneak in some photos of your barn build in here, I bet there are more than a couple of us who'd like to see that.

I've been working on getting the prep work for the epoxy floor coating done. What a PITA. I'll definitely be posting more pictures of the car barn, though, especially as I get started back to finally working on the truck, the Mach 1, the other truck, and the other truck. I have projects lined up waiting for me to retire.

Yep the building we are going to have built we have plastic to put down on the concrete so when they assemble the metal building they don't stain the concrete as we are going to coat the floor with the speckled epoxy to protect it since it will be used for storing and working on vehicles.

just wish had the funds to go a bit larger on the building but its no big deal, just means I have to limit my vehicle collection.
