How long should tires last?

I just have to wonder.... Why are you replacing ball-joints so soon? Are the roads that bad? It just seems very early for that kind of work.

How long should tires last?

I too did not know why they were going to be replaced but then I am only a "gentlewoman". I posted a message here but really didn't get more info. So since it was under warranty, I went ahead and had them changed.

I am very close to having the warranty expire. Before then I plan on taking it to an independent and have him go over it from top to bottom and then will take it to the dealership. I do plan on geting extended warranty but want to make sure we have everything covered or taken care of before then.

Thanks all for the advise and comments. Much appreciated.

Is this a Super Duty Crew Cab or a SuperCrew (F150). If the latter, this thread should be moved to the proper forum as those users of that forum may have new light to shed on your tire challenges.

Please advise.
