I had never had a problem with rockauto before, but the last time I ordered part for my 400, all sorts of stuff was messed up. I ordered a brand new distributor and the cap is loose...

Me either. I think this may have been a case of buy from one company shipped from another. It was not wrapped in the usual rock auto tape.

What was that radiator supposed to fit, before suffering from "crash damage"?
It kinda looks to me like it was for a 91-93 dodge/cummins intercooled truck, which is what I am planning to use.

I've made a little progress on my swap. Old engine/trans is out, and engine bay cleaned up. Let's just say there was no chance the front section of frame could have ever rusted.......

You are correct 91-93 dodge cummins intercooled.

I know you want a new one but I'm pretty sure my original is pretty nice and would be way cheaper. Your welcome to it if you want it.

It's not bent either...

Thank you for the offer, however I have a new one ready to rock sitting in the garage.

Well, update as promised. Sort of!!!! So I started in on the brackets for the radiator. I figured for this, the keep it simple approach should apply. So I took some 2.5" x 3/16" strap cut it to 24".

Drilled out my holes and test fit on smashed up radiator.

Used the new radiator to line it up and zapped it in to the radiator support.

Now upon taking the radiator out I heard a metal on metal buzz. Ehh didn't think nothing of it until I flipped it over. Damn bottom mounting plate is not brazed on one side. I swear, am I ever going to get a good radiator. So back to auto zone this P.O.S. went.

At least it fits the hole rather well.

I did try and figure out the top brackets, however this is not going as planned. I need some wider angle iron to get this sorted out.

EXPLETIVE, EXPLETIVE, EXPLETIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, your luck with radiators is like mine with girls.

Do you have any old school radiator shops that the hippies haven't burnt down yet? Those guys should be able to set you up with a good one.

No kidding! There's one old school one near me, they burned me last time I went there. Told them to remove the caps, boil and rod my desert cool. Got it back with a crap rattle spray job, no boil, no rod. Still had old pieces of lower hose spring trapped in the bottom and crusted up tubes. Won't be going back there.

I'm still getting another replacement from auto zone. Fingers crossed there.

On a lighter note. I took a beer 30 break, and have a plan, plus patterns for a different top mount. I'll work on that come Saturday. Didn't really care for the angle iron idea anyway. As y'all can see, I seem to do everything the hard way.

Actually, there's more truth to that than you might realize. Unlike these trucks, that old dodge didn't come with some of the nice stuff, like power steering and disc brakes, so retrofitting them is tedious.

Exactly why I've never built a dodge. Including the non existent parts too.
