I'm glad it fit tighter to the support. I've seen what a handful of other guys have done. Their intercoolers hang out another inch or more at the top, and about an inch higher. I'm hoping I have very little to trim from the grill as a result.

If you have time, could you write a quick list of remaining jobs left.
I have been following this build since your freeze plug popped in your 460.
And I cant think of much left except for radiator and fuel lines.
I'm excited for all of your efforts to be so close to paying off.
You have earned this.
Though I am worried once the chase is over. (Building this truck) I'm worried you will get bored and start looking for another challenge.

Let's see! Just to get a running driving truck.
I need to install and plumb the fuel tank, run a 7/8" oil line for the road draft tube, install a fuel shutdown Cable, get two batteries, make battery cables from the alternator to the starter, get and install intercooler boots and piping, buy the speedo sender, buy and install radiator, Have my intermediate shaft built, Get some coolant, change the gear oil in the nv400, I would like to have an air shutdown and the air shutdown cable in place, air filter and piping, I need to buy and install some seats, and buy a Flowmaster hushpower and run exhaust.
Plus a handful of pre flight items that need to be handled.
I'll probably get bored but I have a house to restore as well when I'm done.
Almost too pretty for my truck, isn't it?
Thanks. Took me a bit to find the best place for that big *** jack. It fits real well there.

By "air shutdown" do you mean a flap to cut the airflow into the engine, like the old detroit 2 strokes had as an "emergency" shutdown in case of runaway?
Not a bad idea, but one that you would hope to never *need*, and extremely thankful it was there if it ever had to be used........
Sounds like you are getting it pretty close to making smoke. I hope you can get a video of it's first start, and first drive.
I'm still gathering up stuff for this swap, so my truck still has the old knocking 300 under the hood. At least I can move it around as needed.....

I'll for sure throw out a video.

Your welcome. Glad it worked out for you.
It's an AAC 1/8" vinyl mat that came out of my truck. I had to move my shifters so I put a new floor in my truck.

Today was tackle the downpipe day.
As purchased out of the box an hx40 style stainless 4" downpipe.
First I cut the V flange end off since the pipe hit the cab seam.
I took a 5 degree slice out and welded her back on. This tipped the pipe down and forward.
Skipped a few pics I was on a roll. Test fit with more pie cut sections on.
Before welding. I ended up taking 10 degrees in two cuts near the v band flange, two 5 degrees cuts in the lower part, and at the bottom and inch removed.
All welded up and wire brushed. Took a decent shine since it's stainless.
Back in for the last test fit. You can barely see but I did have to take a notch out of the cab seam. I'll need to smooth it out and touch up paint later.
I'm pretty happy with the fit. In one spot it's about a 1/2" from the bottom of the cab near the end of the down pipe. No biggie, I'll just cut the down pipe short. That way when I have the rest of the exhaust done I can have a bend made to go around the tight spot.
Lastly this is the what I removed to make a it fit.
Next up, installing my fuel tank.
