Ive been trying to fix my dads 2000 crew cab's front passenger window for almost a year now.
Symptoms- random power window use from drivers switch only
-passenger switch does nothing ever

things Ive done-since ford changed the switches around i cant use my buddies 2004 window switches to check anything(good job ford)
-replaced passenger window motor with a working junk yard motor still no motor function
-checked for 12volts at window motor and i have 12 volts??? its very odd
-checked the ground wires but theres about forty wires in the harness and its too hard to find them and my dad wont let me try to remove stuff to trace the wires across the dash(i don't blame him)

fixes- I'm just about to go call junk yards and try to find a new master switch and see if that helps, other then this I'm totally lost and have no idea what to look for now?

 

one more thing i thought at first it was the GEM but everything else in the truck works 100% normal plus he window was replaced at three years old because a baseball cracked the original, so water is not a problem and because everything else works normal i dont think its the GEM

 

It sounds like it could the switch. Like you said, I would track down a junk yard part and try it.

 

i figure that would be the easiest because i tried figuring out how to make jumpers for the main switch and i almost mashed it trying the other day. No wiring diagram and 100 degree heat don't mix!
