Truck GTG Aug. 18 and/or 19

So ... it's time to finally fix my POS transmission.

There are two trannys within a reasonable distance. One in Annandale and one in St. James. I'll call Friday when I get some money to pay for them.

I've got a laundry list of other things that need to be done as well. I definitely want to get the turbo pedestal o-rings done and possibly injector #5. The rest will have to wait. I doubt there will be time.

My brother's bachelor party is Saturday night, so I need to be back here early evening. It starts at 5, but if I'm back around 6pm or so, I'll be ok. Otherwise, Sunday will work as well. It was the one weekend we don't have something scheduled.

I am unavailable to help that weekend. We have a wedding we have to go to in Pipestone that weekend.

Well it's a full days job, so I would suggest planing on Sunday. But the risk is something is needed or goes wrong, and then it's Monday...

Best bet is to get the truck up here Friday, or Saturday very early and we get going FAST.

Transmission is ordered. It should. Be delivered to the shop Tue or Wed. It is coming from French Lake Auto Parts in Annandale.

I'm not sure if the truck would make it under it's own power. I'm willing to give it a shot early sat morning if there is a truck/trailer standing by. I haven't driven it since it started acting up.

What did you pay for the trans?

$900 plus $50 for delivery and pickup of core. Pretty much same price as St. James. 90 day warranty. Not much but it's something.

It is something, that's true. I figured it'd be about that much. I will look it over and see if anything needs to be done before Saturday. We should have the rest of what you need at the shop, or be able to get it...

I'll take the truck for a spin tomorrow night and see how it goes. I'll let ya know how it does and if I think it'll need a trailer.

OK so its sounds like we will be there early, Please no children or alcohol at the shop. I am sure Sandy's insurance company would not like it so much..... See ya there...
