Ok, i hooked up the 5th wheel yesterday, started it up, put it in drive and the od light started flashing on the shifter. I turned it off re-started it, put it in gear and it was fine, until I stopped at a stoplight and went to take off, it started flashing again. so I turned it off and re-started, put in gear and no problems, until the next light.

I thoght it could be a short somewhere so I unhooked the 5th wheel lights and it still does it.

It doesnt do this untill I pull the 5th

I do notice when I put it park that the idol go up and then back to normal

The tranny was built and up graded 2 years ago by a well known tranny mech. that works on alot of these trannys

I called tranny mech. and he said it sounded like a speed sensor

any Ideas

 

My only idea is to get the codes read. Without that you don't have any idea of what's wrong. The tranny mech is just plain guessing. Without the codes he doesn't know, either.

 

yea, he said it was a guess, i will take it in tomorrow, see what happens

mine did the same and i replaced the speed sensor on top of rear axle and the od light went away!

 

i'll see what kind of codes its throwing, but he did mention speed sensor on rear axle,
