New Owner of 59 F100
Over the weekend I finally got mine. Proud owner of my 1959 Ford F100 Custom Cab. Took 9 hours of driving to get it but she is now in the garage. Time for the fun to begin. i have ordered the shop manual it's on the way. I am going to have a lot of work ahead. Here are a couple pics. Couldn't get them all to post so here is a link to photobucket with more. Feel free to comment on good, bad, scary and anything else that looks interesting about the truck.

Well over the last two nights I have pulled the seat, removed the carpet the PO decided to screw in. The good news is the cab corners look to only have a bit of surface rust. There are two patch panels on the floor screwed in (probably going to remove those and weld in the proper ones.) The drive train is the original 292 V8 with Rams Horn exhaust. The trans and rear end not sure. The Vin plate says Trans A Rear 01. I believe they are still the same. Truck bed floor is shot. All said it is in pretty good shape. Glass is all there but will need to be replaced or at least all the gaskets and window trim. I will post more pics once the FTE forum will allow me to upload them. I have been trying to for the last two days with no luck. I did find out that the gas tank is leaking. Thanks for all the replies I will keep updating as I go along.

Grrr, Finally got the title and all paperwork on the vehicle. Went down to DMV to get it in my name. After all the waiting and getting the paperwork done the lady hands me a piece of paper and says call this number for your inspection. I told her I am no where near getting it inspected. it doesn't even run or have working brakes. She told me no honey you have to have the License and Theft department come inspect the vehicle and verify the VIN before we will issue a title. Oh and by the way if you dont get it done in one year you forfeit the right to a title in this state. Needless to say the Inspector is coming next week. On the brighter side. I went on a business trip last week and one of the customers is a car guy. Just finished restoring a 1964 Ford Galaxy. He put a 390 in it. Now his wife is expecting their 2nd child so no more projects for him and get rid of some of that junk. His loss my gain. I now own a 2 ton engine hoist, 1500lb engine stand both in near new shape. A 1972 Ford 351W and Ford AOD transmission that both need rebuilt. The cool part all were obtained for $200.
