So I've had trouble installing my AFE stage 2 intake as far as the alignment of the intake tube to the turbo inlet tube. They're just off. I've discussed the issue with AFE and at one point they told me the intake box was different on their early 99 kits than the late 99 to 03 kits. Now, they're saying the cold air boxes are identical between the two.

If there's anybody in the Kansas City area that has an AFE stage 2 kit in their truck, I would love to compare it side by side with mine to see what the problem is.

E99 should be different.

 

There's absolutely nothing early still inside my engine bay (38R turbo). Maybe if there's someone with a late 99 to 03 7.3 truck in K.C., I could compare and confirm this and troubleshoot this situation side by side with my truck.

could you post up a pic for us to see? in run the same intake and an h2e and had to do some fabricating myself.....

 

I'll try to get my camera to download pictures to my computer. I've been having problems with that. That would probably be helpful for anyone trying to venture a guess as to what might be wrong in my setup.

Please post up some pictures... There is no reason you should be having any issues. I've installed several of these.

 

Sorry man but my truck got rear ended by a challenger today while parked. Met my mom, wife and cousins for lunch then took my moms car to run some arrands came back to the cops and my truck moved forward about 30 feet.

Well I hope it's not a total loss but it's going to need a new bed and tailgate, rf tire, steering gear box, rf door is tweaked, hood sits lower than front fenders. The lf fender is bowed out, the steering wheel lock is Broke wheel just spins. I am going to get some pics tomorrow make thread and post them. He told the cops he was going ten mph lol . I will se if the pawn shop next to the scene had a camera pointed in that direction as well.

Sorry, I know. I'm unable to download pictures from my camera to my laptop. It's not even an issue of posting them. I can't even get any pics onto my computer.
