When i questioned about the welding for a SAS, i was wondering what needed to be welded. Unless you were converting from coil to leaf in the front i think the only thing missing is the appropriate shock mount locations. I can't be sure though.

Well this bronco is my daily driver with a little offeoad and towing. I just dont want to constantly have alignment issues. Ive been reading up bout coil vs leaf and everyone is saying coil or spring. I already got this used procomp lift. If i do the sas swap with coils. I dont think i can use them coils. Idk bout the extended radius arma i have either.

The radius arms would need some major fabrication to work, as for the coils there is a little to be done there also. TTB can usually stay true with 35's or less. If you think you will eventually go to the SAS then sell what you have and save for the straight axle. I see Dana44's in the junkyards all the time. A dana60 is a little tougher to find but they're out there.

Well i have a dana 44 under my 79 ford. I got 38s on it. Plan to put a dana 60 on it one day. I plan to just run 33-35s on my bronco though.

I would suggest you save for the Dana60 and swap them both simultaneously. Take everything from the 79 and put it on the bronco minus the tires.

I can go ahead and take off my dana 44 off my truck. I plan to put a np435 in it anyways and do some repairs to. So i wont be drivin it. I need to take my insurance off of it. You think i could use the procomp extended radius arms i got for my ttb on the straight axle

It takes modification/fabrication. They attach to the axle differently.

I don't think anyone makes a 6" shackle flip kit... If you find one it would have to be some.custom fab stuff I would imagine.

Here's the rear shackle with an F250 hanger used to make a shackle flip. Using the F250 hanger shackle flip, F250 springs and a 3/4" to 1/8" tapered shim I think you will net 6" of lift.

I've been gone all week, just reading up on Manfred's lift project. I'm glad to see some info on the 250 hanger. I've heard they could be used as a shackle kit. The ttb front end should be able to handle 6" and 35x12.50 ok. Any bigger a sas should be considered. As far as towing, all that would be on the rear end, right? For the front end, any corrections can be done through the caster/camber adjusters?

Well I've been thinking.

I probably will lift the Bronco using the TTB. I've found some 6" shackle flips for $195 shipped.

I would do the SAS but I need the tools and area to do it...something I currently don't have. Plus I already got this TTB lift. PLUS I don't have a Dana 60 yet for my 79 to replace the 44 with.

Someone told me to flip my tierod ends on my front end once I lift my TTB.
