Not sure why but occassionally my ABS light will come on & so will the airbag light. Now Ive heard the VSS in the rear could be the problem for the ABS?
Coworker told me that if your Airbag light is on, a Ford mechanic had told him that Ford ran their transmission controller through the Airbag module, so obviously if you have an airbag light on most people may not care to get it fixed, especially if its a pricey item. BUT, if your airbag module craps out or faults, it will cause your transmission to run rough & not go into overdrive..........? Has anyone heard of this before?

 

My airbag light was on when my clock spring was going bad. Do you still have a horn and cruse control when the airbag light is on?

 

My airbag light stayed on when the little light inside the on/off switch burnt out. There was someone on here that said to count the flashes then run the code. Basically my blinked twice, paused then 7 times, basically meaning 27. If yours is flashing find out how much and find the code.
