51 F1 Supercharged Project *Advice

Hi Guys, I've been looking through the threads here awhile, this is my first time posting.
Blown away with the amount of knowledge here. The Fab talent is just amazing.

I'm away for another 2.5 months, (working offshore in the UK) with tons of time on my hands for planning my next project.

Since the boat is all buttoned up I'm just itching to start into something new when I get back.

What I'm looking to get is a Higher HP weekend cruiser but with the comforts that a longer distance cruise isn't out of the question. (300-450km)
I don't think I'll be racing or anything, just something with a mean engine that sounds great.

I've found a couple trucks in my area this one I'm waiting on an answer for price 1951 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck - Alberta Cars For Sale - Kijiji Alberta Canada.
This on is another option
1951 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck - British Columbia Cars For Sale - Kijiji British Columbia Canada.

I'd like to go with a full IFS Suspension the kit similar to this FORD F100 IFS KIT front end suspension parts mustang 2 | eBay

Engine/Trans from a Cobra Mustang. 2003/2004 MUSTANG COBRA 4.6 V8 ENGINE T56 TRANSMISSION DOHC SUPERCHARGED MOTOR | eBay

Not sure if this is even possible, I have seen a few lightening conversions but not a cobra mustang, I'd like to go this route for the manual transmission.
Any thoughts on whether this will physically fit?

Thanks in advance

Welcome! I am not sure, but I would think that you could make the 4.6 supercharged DOHC fit. It might be quite a job and you will need the computer and all of the sensors everywhere including a Catalytic converter and the wiring harness. Others on here can steer you better, but it looks like an ambitious project that could be really nice. The ebay MII looks fine but it is made for a F100 '53 - '56. And it wont be "just a few hours of work" to install it like is said in their add. I went with a TCI MII from Speedway Motors and it really wasn't much different in price. Plus it has a power rack which is nice, and good support in case there are any problems. And it is made for an F1 (48 - 52). Good luck and when you do start it post pictures!
