Cruise installed

Cruise installed
I have been working on installing cruise for some time off and on and finally finished today and took a trial run. It works ok and I am glad it is finished. I removed the tab on the lever that was sticking up on the GM lever and painted over the wiper lettering. I think I will be well satisfied since I love to use cruise controls on all my other vehicles .

Gary,
how 'bout some details. I purchased an Ididit column and got the cruise control added to the turn signal stick...
what did you use for controller and connections to carb ??? pictures would be sweet... I'd love to do this... like GNW said...it would be sweet on long trips. My longest trip so far is about 15 feet...from inside the garage to outside the garage. although, one time the frame did go a few miles on it's own for rear suspension fabrication
thanks
John

I used the same one Vern used from Rostra. It was easy to install and very good instructions. I just worked on it a little at a time so it took me about two weeks to finish. I think they send you enough parts to connect it to almost any application. I only had to screw the bracket on the cable and clip the end on the throttle body and connect the two ends. The controller is a black box with the cable attached. It has 12 switches to fine tune it to your application. Can't get pictures to work tonight , maybe later. Larry.
