Transmission Shift Firmness

Just how firm does a programmer make these trucks shift? I guess specifically an Edge programmer on a 5.4L. We used to be able to drop a trans go kit in a C6 behind a mildly modified 351W and be able to break the back tires loose on the 1-2 up shift. I would figure that ain't gonna happen in these late model trucks. I honestly don't know if they would hold up to it. Just curious about what the programmers have to offer.

They can get pretty firm. In fact I had to reduce the pressure on my 5 Star tune on the 1-2 shift. It is still a tad "crisp" on light acceleration....shifts great at or near WOT. The shifts are quick enough that it feels clunky at low speeds. I like the crispness especially under load....like climbing a hill under pretty decent throttle.
