New toy

I got this off my dad in trade. Had to save its life from the scrape yard. 54 with a 55 front end, on a 72 highboy frame. We extended the bed to fit and swap out the trany for a np245.

I stand corrected I believe that we swapped out the np435 for the t-18, cant remember for sure.

This thing is my all time favorite truck in the world. This is the truck that brought me home from the hospital. The body used to be on a 4x4 Chevy frame. And it was always a constant project.

Hey Tsoptich on the save. If that trans is an np435 for reverse you will shift over down and back towards the seat. If it is a T-18 or T98 it will be over towards the driver or steering colunm and up towards the dash. If the collar that holds the shifter into the top of the trans unscews it is not the Np 435. Np 435 you will push down on the spring loaded collar with the trans in neutral and turn counter clockwise. Suggestion for you is to start a thread on this keeper in the projects forum. Im all for seeing more pics on this one myself. As you might notice im into 4wd just a little myself.
