87 F-150 Clutch Noise (squeal)
I have an 87 F-150
Had the clutch replaced appx. 3 months ago.
When my truck gets warmed up, there is a high pitched squeal that only goes away when I press in my clutch pedal.
When I let it out it comes back.
Is this something my repair shop should have fixed?
What should I look for in terms of getting this fixed now?
Thanks in advance...

Nice, a bump from 13 years ago. Having trouble searching out this particular issue on my 1987 F-350.
Quick background. Burned up my clutch over the winter plowing our road. Never had a squeal. Mechanic replaced the burned up clutch with a new one...then we have a squeal (which goes away when clutch is pressed in). After some head scratching, mechanic replaced the new clutch with another new one. Driving home from picking it up, same squeal.
Before calling my mechanic tomorrow, was hoping someone might have come across this issue. Thanks.

Did they replace the clutch fork?
I ask because I had a clutch installed three months ago, flywheel, new clutch kit with throw out bearing and pilot bearing, new clutch fork, slave, and master cylinder all new fluid.
And about a month ago it was starting to squeal too.
Push the clutch pedal in just a hair and it stops. I know its the throw out bearing, but I was wondering about spraying some lube on it to keep it quiet.
Anybody know if that will help and not hurt the clutch disc?

How much free play do you have in the pedal? You should have somewhere between 1/2" - 1" Max. If you're able to push just a little on the pedal and it goes away, I'd say it's no adjusted properly. IF after the system is fully bled, you should be able to adjust the rod, if your rod isn't adjustable then you should be looking at the bushings in the pedal.
With the truck running and in neutral, Does it squeal? If it does then it's in the bearing, hydraulics, pedal. If not and it only squeals when in gear and driving then you're more than likely looking at the transmission.
