Dual Exhaust 2003 F250 7.3l

Has anyone tried fitting a dual exhaust to the 7.3l diesel? My 2003 F250 currently has a single 4" Banks exhaust system with 5" tip. The down pipe looks like 3.5" from the turbo, but somewhere thereafter is 4". It also has a Banks six gun tuner.

I realise that a dual exit exhaust system may not give any improvement in power, but it should sound better.

Manta Performance apparently makes such a dual system for the F250 and they say that they can supply me with just the muffler and end pipes separately, but do not know the cost yet.

I wonder whether I can get the parts from the US perhaps quite a bit cheaper. Anybody know anything about this?

Thanks for that, Ned. I am I right that there is no gain in hp only better sounding exhaust?

I have a single 4" system. I was planning to take it to the local exhaust shop to see what they can do. Over the phone they suggested two 3" pipes from the muffler. I was thinking maybe just add a Y join to the muffler and an extra 4" pipe to the LHS to complement the 4" pipe to the RHS. That way I do not have to buy two new chrome tips, but only the one for the pipe on the LHS.

Yer was just for the redneck look, was bored with the single pipe out the side so i welded up a new exhaust out of 5" and put a 6" tip on either side, noticed no difference in power, because it was 5" from the 4" dump pipe already
