B code/ V code questions

Greatly enjoyed the thread on lifted Exs.

I have decided on the V/B swap with hangers to allow me to run 315s / 35"s per Cary's protocol.

I would like to know how this has worked out for those who have done it and where you sourced your parts from.

Thanks for any advice

Bump.

Any help ?

Did most of you do this yourself or have a shop do it ?

Where are the best bets for finding parts at good prices ?

Did the work myself (only 3 calls back to Cary for questions), as for the parts I decided that I would go with new springs and sway bar from Ford. Worked out great - drives like a new truck, reallly pleased with the results!

You can do yourself with the right tools and a couple of days.

I may have been off base.

Looks like maybe new springs available for 150 & 215 + shipping

I have read of people finding them used for very little

Nope, still running the stock stablizer and single shock setup on the front. I did go with the Bilsteins but only one on each side.

When it was all said and done I paid a little over a 1200.00 at the dealer for the sway bar, springs, and sway bar mounting hardware. I figured that with all the work I was going to do the last thing I wanted was to mount up some trucks worn out "stuff", but I read where many others have gone with used parts with good results.

I would be curious to hear from someone who has done this and later added the dual shocks and stabilizer

I did not have one and had to buy one. The parts I picked up were:

BAR ASY-REAR STAB
Part #: F81Z5A772AA
Pack Qty: 1

SPG ASY-FRT
Part #: 2C3Z5310HA
Pack Qty: 2

SPRING ASY. (REAR)
Part #: 3C3Z5560CA
Pack Qty: 2

For some reason I do not have the rear stabilizer bar hardware but I remember that there were two flavors of saddle clamps and bushings - get the larger of the two
