hard down**** clunk!!!

On my 98 f250 it has started a pattern of hard downshifts, typically after breaking begins and usually 40-60 mph slow downs..fluid is newer and full any ideas?

Also I should have mentioned the truck has 165k on it 4x4 with the small block
