Ugh, did it again. Totally forgot about starting a new month thread. Been busy these past few days moving into a new apartment complex (for vets only). Currently in a 2 bedroom non handicapped apartment, because I am not "legally disabled" Until I can get a doctor's signature on the disabled paperwork, I will be in this apartment. No roommate yet, so it is nice here by myself. I have two doctor's appointments next Wednesday, one with the doctor who performed the surgery on my leg, and the other with my primary care VA doctor. One of them should be willing to sign the disabled paperwork. I doubt the one who did the surgery will though.
The apartment has central AC so it is great during these hot days. Free wifi at the apartment, but I am currently only getting 1 bar of signal. Got a call from my attorney's office and there is going to be a mediation on Sept 13th. Would be sweet to settle early, but only if I am happy with the offer.
Hope everyone has a great day, and can stay cool somewhere.

Yes, I am in a VA owned and operated apartment complex. I can stay a maximum of 2 years, but I am only going to stay until the settlement check gets here. 30% of my income goes to rent, but everything else is free. No cable though, but free WiFi. Not a bad place, was newly remodeled, and looks good on the inside. It is in a bad part of town I am told, but the complex is gated, and locked. And so are the carports. So the Bronco is safe too. There is a chain linked gate behind it with a $100 (so says the VA) lock on it.
