Tightening front shock

The mounting bolt on the top of my right front shock is loose. When I turn the nut to tighten it the whole threaded portion and inside of the shock turns??

Some have a spot where you can put a wrench under the bushings. You ca use pliers or vice grips to hold the shaft above the nut. an impact wrench in short bursts should do it also. Use some penetrating oil on the nut.

Thanks bashby, I am going to go check to see if there is a place under the bushing for a wrench.
