I never would have considered such a thing...but Miss Pamela has been seeking to replace our couch for more than a year, and when I saw this one advertised, we decided to go look at it...
As soon as I found the "heat" and "massage" buttons, I was intrigued...tried them both out in the store and fell in love.

Unbelievable. I put TWO "new" compressors in the fire chicken and they're both bad. Why can't we get parts that work anymore??!!
The '53 is done! I got the cable installed and dropped the pan to see the jag off removed the linkage for the cable too! Luckily, there's a guy like me on the edge of town that does transmissions. $5 and I had all the pieces I needed. The same jag off put one of those snazzy Lokar dipstick tubes on the trans. It's braided stainless hose with a plastic dipstick. It looks cool until you realize the opening is only 3/8" and you have to put five quarts of fluid in the trans one PINT at a time through a ketchup bottle. What a pain in the rear bumper that was. It's all good though. The vibration is gone, the trans feels crisper and everything works. Woo Hoo!

I should have taken pictures, but I've been working on the cluster for my cluster-f*#$ jeep project. The j20 had a 100mph speedo, the wag had an 85mph speedo. Now I've got the 100mph speedo mated to the odometer and the rest of the gauges from the wagoneer. I just need to get this volt gauge and mod my baseplate to fit it. Been done by a bunch of other FSJ owners so I have a feeling it'll go pretty quick and easy. One step closer.
Just wish I had my engine already and my rear axle bolted in.....

Well y'all have me beat again. I've got the gardens watered, and more tomato's picked from the front and back yards, I'm sick of tomoato's.
Tim and I did get Ka'Bluey out for another run around town yesterday. I like the looks we get, you can tell some just aren't sure about the truck with those 5" stacks, but I think most like em'.
Unk Bob

My 04 F350 had 6" miter cuts on it and I got so much grief, especially being out on the east coast near DC...but that 6.0 sounds goooood!
