How to remove old core support mounts

The core support mounts on our project truck are rusted and we can't figure out how to remove them. Any suggestions on how they come apart and how to remove them?

core supports plural? There's just one core support. Where is it rusted at? Where it bolts to the frame with 2 big bolts on each side of the bottom near the radiator?

my energy suspension package says if you thread the bolt into the bottom of the mount and then stick a punch through the mount and hammer it, they will separate.

I wasn't so lucky. I cut mine off. You can use a large diameter cutting wheel or a long blade on a sawzall, or even a torch if youre careful. You are supposed to reuse the top when you put new bushings in, so if you can drive them apart or even make a clean cut you will be a step ahead. If you do destroy them, they are just a piece of pipe and a washer welded together, really.

I put the bolt back in a ways then hit the bolt with a 12 pound mall. After a couple hits they come loose. Make sure you put the bolt in far enough to not bend the threads but not to far that when you hit it, it can still move down.

Mine were so rusted I broke a bolt inside the mount while pounding on it. Cut this off with my grinder.

I grabbed a few extra mounts at the junk yard using the same method. 2wds seem to be better donors; less corrosion from less off-roading.

Make sure you count the number of those washer things.

btw since I wasn't clear, energy suspension says remove the bolt, thread it up through the bottom just enough to hold it, then stick a punch down through the mount from the top, and beat on the punch with a hammer...
