What the hello can this be.

I'm laying under the 06 at the spare tire storing devise and my eye is caught by a gismo up on the front end of the mount plate and between the rear end. It doesn't seem to be connected to anything, but has a wire connection going into one end. It is about 3" round and 2 ft long with caps on both ends. It is just ahead of the round chassis cross member also.

Any ideas without a photo what the hello this might be?

Flux Capacitor. Whatever you do, don't mess with the speed governor on these trucks.

Seriously thou, post a pic and we should be able to tell you for sure.
