Question Not sure what tire size to go with

I finally got around to ordering some new wheels for my truck, so now i need some tires to go along with them . I bought MT Classic IIs, 16x8, 4" backspacing, -13 offset. I am a fan of coopers, so im inbetween the STT sizes 315/75/16 and the 305/70/16. Both load range E, and the first are about 34.5x11.8x16 and the second are around 33x11.8x16. I have my F250 with a 2-2.5" lift on it, and the tires for reference size now are 265/75/16. Im just not sure if the 315s will be too big, or if i should go with the 305s? Im not really a fan of the wider and shorter though. thoughts?

I would go with the 305's. The smaller diameter will put more torque down on the pavement, plus the skinnier tire will have less rolling resistance.

I'd second that, I'd go with the 305's. It will fill that wheel well nicely.

Not that great of pics for reference but here are 315's on a 10" wheel. I have a 2.7" levelling kit.

Although 305's on a 8" wheel look pretty good too.

And this pic is 285's, although no front lift at the time this pic was taken.

Your truck with 265s looks just like mine does... still thinking though. I got a call and found out the wheels will be backordered for a while, so i think i am going to go with Procomp 17x9s, with 295/70/17 cooper stts. they are 33.3x11.6x17" tires

I have 305's and they leave a little to be wanted in the wheel well. Gonna bump it up to 315. FWIW I do not like cooper.

nice, that looks good. my wheels shipped today so hopefully they come sometime next week. since they are 17s now, my buddy also is going to sell me a set of 35" bfgs for 100 bucks. they have about 30-50% tread but i am only going to use them until fall, and put my stockers back on. and save up over the winter for a new set of tires

I really like my new Nitto Crosstec HD, 275/70R18 the size is perfect. I downsized from the 325's. Much happier. Take a look at them. Might be perfect for your truck. They are about 33" tall. Vermillion Cliffs in the background. One of the last habitats for the Calf Condor.
