I have tried the Magnaflow and Gibson, both had drone around 1500-1800 RPM's. I now have a Flowmaster 70 series and I love it.

AlaskanEx - how load is your truck in the cab? My muffler has an annoying metallic vibration and I've been contemplating replacing it. I don't really want louder but yours sounds good. I put a 70 Flowmaster on my 94 and it was too loud for my old man sensibilities.

its not bad IMO around 55 in 3rd gear you can hear it..but its not obnoxious by any means. i was worried it would be too loud but i've hauled many kids in baby seats and they slept with no issues. on the highway its very close to stock @70 in 4th.

I have a Magnaflow on mine and it isn't too bad. A little drone around 60, but I hardly drive at 60. Biggest difference I found other than the 5-Star, was adding the Airaid intake system.

I installed a 3" Borla ProXS muffler and exited it before the rear passenger side wheel on my '09 and I'm very happy with the sound. Under normal throttle it's slightly louder and lower than stock with no drone at all but under heavy throttle/acceleration it has a nice roar that you can't ignore

We have a 2002 F250 4x4 V10 and we have a banks exhaust on it is sounds good it is fair in loudness you can't hear it to much at 65 MPH you barely hear it. I love the sound of it when you are out of the truck but inside you don't hear it. The only thing though is I can't find anybody whom sells it anymore. The last owner put ours on.

My flow master 40 isn't all that loud neither. I was actually surprised. Sounds good sometimes when engine braking I get some backfire and it actually sounds good. I couldn't tell ya what its like on the highway, my tires are louder than the exhaust
