89 MAF CONVERSION
Have a 5.0 bored out with stock no ho firing order. originally purchased MAF conversion kit part number fms m9000t51 for a 5.8 that was in truck soo hooked it up firing order no problems till i blew the motor up (long story). so now i have this mustang computer part number c3w1 and this truck 302 engine with different firing orders. is it ok to just re route some wires to make firing orders work. when i say wires i mean swap 4 injector plugs and also re arrange the spark plug wires?? any ideas

I have no idea where it's from all I have read is that it's comparable to the a9p computer idk I'm kinda lost. Truck has been sitting for months can't get it to run at all. The spark plugs are dry except for 2. The ohms on the injector from a dry plugged cylinder seemed to be within it's number specs then ran outa time had to get ready for work

did you drain the fuel and replace the fuel filter? if its been sitting that long the gas is probably bad.
also check your fuel pressure at the rail with a Fuel pressure gauge. I would also research to make sure the pinout for that ecu you have now is the same as the A9P you had.

never had the a9p ecu. i bought the whole kit from summit computer harness and maf sensor. i just read that the c3w1 was comparable to the a9p.
also i checked the pressure at the rail and there is 20 psi just when i turn the key to the on position. when i crank the motor the pressure made it up to 45 psi and then slowly went back down to the 20 psi range after cranking.
and yes i drained the fuel rigged the hi pressure pump to a power source and and connected a hose to the out side of the pump and pumped it out and added about 2 gallons of fresh gas also changed the inline filter.

Fuel pressure should not drop like that, if you cycle the key a few times it should build to about 40psi and stay there, so you have a leaking injector or check valve in the dual function resovoir.
C3W1 is just another A9P variant that's functionally the same, I have one of those as well.. came with my Ford MAF conversion kit.

black cannister behind the tranny crossmember? anyways i think i found the pressure leak. its a bad splice in the return line before the fuel filter its most certainly draining from there. but still it generates enough pressure to charge the lines with gas you think thats enough gas to wet the spark plugs. like i said i only had one plug that was wet and black one plug was a little black and a little wet and the 6 others are dry as a bone.

Wet plugs are the sign of a leaky injector, if you had them on a bench and put some air pressure behind them I bet you would find they pass air even without being electrically activated.. which they shouldn't do of course. These 2 injectors will make the whole motor run badly I suggest you change them.
The dual function resovoir is the technical name for the switch valve that directs fuel from one of the tanks to the engine and yeah it's on the frame near the trans, this system also includes an high pressure pump on the frame, an inline filter, and low pressure fuel pumps in each tank.

Truck won't run lol. I thought after cranking the motor a couple thousand time that most of the spark plugs would be wet. My problem here is that the gas isn't getting into 6 cylinders therefore she will not fire up. Anyway to check these without takin the plenum and injectors off? I checked the voltage on two injector plugs one that was wet and one that was bone dry. Used a multimeter and cranked the engine both plugs put out the same voltage it fluctuated from .5v-3.5v while cranking. Is 3.5v enough to operate the injectors?
