WILL 08-12 6.7L FORD DIESEL FIT 05 F350 6.0 FRAME

Anybody know if the frames, engine and transmission mounts are in the same spots on the 03-07 and the 08-12? I have an 05 F350 6.0 and thinking about putting the newer 6.7L Ford in it if it will fit. I would use the newer 6R140 transmission. I currently have 4WD. I know I would need the ECM and FICM for the 6.7L.

I doubt a 6.7 would mount anywhere close to the same mounts as a 6.4.

All the diesel engines in the Ford pickup line were International engines up to the 6.7 which is a Ford engineered and built engine. Other than being a turbo diesel the 6.7 has nothing in common with the 6.4!

Actually I have the 6.0L in my 05 but I thought until this year in 2013 was when Ford was coming out with their own new block. I thought the 6.4 and 6.7 were made for Ford. Thanks for your info.

2013 Ford 6.7L diesel engine in 2005 Ford F350

Can anyone advise if this has been tried or can be done. Putting a 2013 Ford diesel motor in a 2004-2007 Ford with the 6.0L diesel prone to problems or would I be better off to spend the money to fix the problems or just go to a 2013 Dodge 2013 that will fit.

It sounds like it is time to de-stroke your powerstroke.

03-07 6.0, 08-10 6.4 both International, 11+ 6.7 Ford. It would probably be cheaper to buy a 6.7 than to do this swap. I'm currently swapping a cummins into my 06', I apparently bought one or the many "bad apple," 6.0's that is a piece.
