Fitting HID's to a 2007 F250
I have been trying to fit HID's to my 2007 F250, isolated the DLR's, by pulling the fuse f1.13.
Fitted the HID's, main beam worked Ok but no dip beam.
Installed a by pass relay so that the dip beam got its power from the battery direct, made no diference, no dip beam, any ideas what is causingthe problem anyone?

Did you get a high/low bi xenon hid kit?
If that is the case. You most likely have the
same problem I did. the plug is not wired the way the
one in our trucks are. You will need to know what wire
is ground and what ones is High hot and Low hot.
You then move the pins to the right place in the socket.
The pin removal can be a pain.
One place I can't help you is I don't know if your location
uses the wiring in the same way as the US. But I should
be able to give you a how to.
Make a drawing of the (truck side)plug that goes into the lamp that you are
replacing. Get yourself a 12V test light hook the clip to a ground
turn the lights on low and check the three contacts in the plug
when you find the one that lights the light that will be the low Hot
next do the same with it on High that one will be the High hot.
Now you should only have the one left and that should be a ground
you can check this with the test light all you do is take the clip off the
ground and place it on the one that you think is ground in the plug
will keeping the probe tip in the high hot one with the high on.
Hope that this is understandable for you. If you have problems
feel free to ask for help.

Thanks for the quick response.
yep i checked all that, the solenoid in the lamp that gives the dip beam by moving the lamp backward and tilted down works when in dip but the light doesn't it just flashes, even when I have wired it directly via a relay so as to get power direct from the battery, rather than using the trucks wiring.

Both ballast's doing that ?
For each lamp there should 4 wires
2 to move the bulb and 2 that light the lamp
The smaller of the 4 should be the ones that
move it.
It may take me a bit to get back to you on this
I installed mine back in March and think I know
where I put the paperwork. I did find the links that
they sent on the hookup.
Have a look and see if it helps. These guys have been very helpful
with my install. I would not have a problem going back to them again.

F1 Savannah. For those that don't know
A F1 is 1/2 wild serval 1/2 domestic cat
and she is almost as big as the Kat
on my diesel. She makes more noise
than my 6.0L diesel in the 2006 F350
4X4 Crew cab long bed.
If you want to see the Cats look here
ImageShack Album - 30 images
Anyway on the topic of HIDs I am wondering
if he got the problem fixed and if what I posted
helped any.

Sean,
Yes thanksfor your help, I have purchased a relay harness to replace the ones sent with the kit so that the ballast is feed direct rfom the battery in both the full and dip beam supply. the headlight connector from the ford harness just switches the solenoid to activate main and dip, I am hoping this will cure the problem.
Thanks again for your help.
