Seatz Suspended Headliner

Anybody out there have any experience with this headliner? I've read the instructions and I'm lost.

Vinyl - comes with tack strip, suspension rods and welt cord. Installation instructions might as well be written in another language.

That sounds like fun. I did one of those in my brother-in-law's 49 Plymouth. I remember putting in all of the rods, tacking it at the front, pulling it taught, tacking down the back and then tacking the sides. <<<<<<<<<< I'm not sure if that is of any help. ...Here ya' go!

I suspect it's like the one you're doing. Since it's vinyl, you might want to set it out in the sun to limber it up a bit?

thanks carnut - yep the instructions are the same - called Seatz this morning and spoke with a guy by the name of Bryan, he gave me some advice and direction. Said that this is one of the most difficult things they have to install. I guess since I'm going for the stock look I should have just ordered the painted board that just screws in.

Spend the extra few bucks and take it to your local upholstery shop. I'm all for DIY but in some cases it's a lot easier to have it done professionally the first time instead of having to pay someone else to clean up your mess.
