Truck runs great other than that, the problem with the speed going up and down keeps me from being able to use cruise out on the interstate.

Sensor that mounts in rear end could be dirty or bad.

You could of also pegged your needle on your speedometer one to many times to screw up your speedometer. Don't ask how I know....ha

The sensor is called a ABS Vehicle Speed Sensor.

Take a flat head screw driver and a 1/2 inch wrench climb under your truck were the drive shaft meets the rear end and look on top of the rear end.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. By the way my ABS light comes on about once every 6 weeks then goes out, any connection to MPH flux?

Take the plug and the sensor out and clean it first...

Put it back in and test drive it to see if the cleaning worked.

Check the wires for bad connection or shorts.

If not go to the auto parts store and buy a new sensor.

Don't throw the old sensor away and don't damage the new sensor when putting it in.

You may have to return it if it does not solve the problem.
