After replacing boots and the COP the check engine light is still on.

So after I replaced boots and a COP on #7 my check engine light is still on. Before the COP the only code it showed was for the speed sensor. If I take it to Autozone can they remove the code?

Disconnect the battery and the code should clear.

Some say that once you remove the battery neg cable to then turn your parking lights or headlights on. Helps to drain the residual power out of any cap's that are in the system.

Just disconnected the battery, cleared the codes, worked like a charm.
