campground recommendations
I'm looking for campground recommendations in CT. We usually travel outside CT for vacations, but my wife is getting knee surgery and doesn't want to go far. She is probably staying at the site the whole time, so I need the place to be entertaining on its own. We will most likely not be going on any day trips.but my daughter and her friends will need things to entertain themselves.
I would like to have;
Bathrooms and showers
Pool/swimming
Canoeing
Biking
Entertainment for a couple of 14 yr olds
hopefully you guys have some insight on this subject. Also feel free to tell stories and post photos if you want

Odetah in Bozrah is good.
Odetah Camping Resort
We went there last year, and one of my friends rolled his van in the campground. Good times.

I would have to agree with this. We used to camp there seasonal when it first opened (my mother was the manager). It has really grown since then and there is plenty to do.

The Lions Club that I am a member of does a Colombus Day Weekend campout. We don't have canoeing or a pool (too cold sometimes that time of year anyway), and although we don't have bike trails there is pleanty of room to ride a bike on the fairgrounds. As for the 14yr olds, we have free wireless internet as well as a cell tower on site, so they could definately stay connected! Other than that we have a bonfire, hayrides, and bocci. By no means is it a full-fledged campgrounds...just an annual fundraiser for us. But there are bathrooms with hot showers and we have power and water hookups as well as a dump station. Most of the campers we get own a travel trailer, but we do get a few that just put up a tent. Check it out here: Terryville Lions Club Website If it looks like something that might interest you and yours, we will be happy to have you guys with us for the weekend! This event is held at the Terryville Fairgrounds, and all the proceeds go to a great cause
