Plug wires for 88 f250

How critical are the wires. Belden lists a variety of wires. Some some for trucks with EEC, without EECand. Some that dont specify one way or the. Other. The mechanic doesnt seem to think that it matters. Does it? Thanks DR

If your wires are bad anything new will be an improvement, I always buy the best wires that I can afford.

I always recommend Ford wires. I have used, and many others, spark plug wires from Ford Racing. They come in different colors and are top notch quality for long life without breaking the bank.

Thanks,

Wires are bad and I am stuck in a very small town so no choices but the Belden.

Thanks, DR

I live in a small town in a rural area as well. I would hold out for better wires if at all possible. Pay me now, or pay $$ later.

I will always recommend Ford Racing products. Their plug wires are definitely top notch. I have also had excellent luck with MSD ignition products and would also recommend them. They do cost a little more, but like rla2005 said, pay now or pay later.

Thanks for the reply - normally I do hold out for the correct parts - but in this case "stuck" means 2500 miles from home. A mechanic is working on it now.

It's done. Mechanic did a good job. Truck is running just like a tired old 88 should. Thanks for the replies. D.R.
