I am selling the complete engine and transmission from my 68 2-wheel drive Ranger to upgrade it to a 5.0 Coyote.
The engine has less than 3,000 miles, transmission 25,000 miles.
429 CJ 4-bolt short block @ .030 with 10-to-1 forged pistons. The crankshaft is .010-.010. The heads are D2OE with screw-in studs and stock rockers with push rod guides. The cam, carburetor, and manifold are Edelbrock. Dura spark with MSD Blaster 2 coil. CJ finned valve covers. Viscous clutch fan, Saginaw power steering pump and steering box. All mounts and brackets are stock Ford. Also Dyno max headers.
The transmission is custom built with the wide ratio planetary and shift kit. The converter is stock stall with the nose turned down to mate to the CJ crankshaft.
The engine is in the truck so that anyone interested can drive it and do any checking out they want. You will know that this is no junk. I can have the package out in 1 day. Interested parties will have to come and pick it up.
Also the front brakes, drums are going. The “I” beams have bronze kingpins and springs are going. Front sway bar included. This entire setup will “bolt in” to any 65 to 79 F-100.
