1949 mercury gasline routing question

Well I managed to get the exhaust system installed and now the fuel line is causing me some concerns. I purchased a prebent fuel line from inline tube. Now comes the installation.
Anyone out there have a picture or able to guide me in this installation ? The cab is mounted and engine and trans installed. The fuel line that was in it was a copper line and ran all over so no real help as a guide.

Sorry, it's for the flathead eight. I just got back in from the garage. After unbending two spots as per the instructions, it seems way too long. It runs from the tank to the front of the engine?
Sent an email off to inline to verify the part number. Might have a road trip in my future.

Here's a picture of mine. It's original, and I can't imagine it's any different than what yours should be. If you follow the fuel line from the pump to the firewall, you can see the connection to the hard line that goes down and along the frame rail, then over to the gas tank.

Greg, I still haven't mastered the ability to post pic's. I emailed you a couple. I hope they help.
If all goes well I will be at Arthur next month. Hope to see you there.

I'll be interested to hear if you can install the new line without bending it. When I took my old one out, I ended up cutting it where it passes between the frame rail and the brace for the pedal assembly, just couldn't get it out.

Thank you Wayne and Dave for the pictures. I thought it should exit the tank and head over to the drivers side and then up the firewall. Your pictures tend to confirm this.
What I have laying on the floor seems to exit a tank and then run along the passenger frame rail and end up at the front passenger side where the front of an engine would be?
I've sent a question off to inline tube to verify the number but will likely need to make a trip.
I hope to get to the Arthur truck show Dave and would like to meet you in person. We'll have to set up a meeting as it gets closer.

Hey Wayne, I just took a second look at your picture. I see your plate in the middle top of your firewall just like mine.
There looks to be another plate on the passenger side. I have four evenly spaced holes in that area on my merc but there was no evidence of anything being mounted there. Just curious as to what it is.
Thanks again , Greg M-47

It's a metal tag the same size and shape as the US patent plate, but has no printing on it. It has stamped (or more appropriately considered embossed) numbers with coded data about the vehicle. I sent the info to John Albano at Ford of Canada a couple years ago but he had no information about it.

It says;

Style C2C-81B, which I decided decodes to Canada 1952 half ton model cab and chassis deluxe interior, 'cause it makes sense.
Body No 14553, which I could find no reference for
FBBP-706 which again seems meaningless
88, which is the paint code for body in primer only. That number is also referenced on the center tag as the paint code.

If you or anyone has a clue to what any of this means, or if someone has similar codes to share, I'd like to hear from you.

That's interesting. I've got the evenly spaced out dimples on my firewall for a plate but there was no evidence of a plate ever being installed. Wish I had some information to share with you but none of the codes mean anything to me either.
Thanks again for the picture. It confirmed my thoughts that the fuel line on my garage floor is not the right one. I'll have to contact inline tube.

Greg

The fuel line for the I6 runs along the driver side frame rail, crosses under the radiator housing twice (out and back), and meets the fuel pump just behind the radiator and passenger side front engine block. Sounds like that's what you have.

Thanks DW. I can run that information past inline tube. That is what this line seems to do. Hopefully I can exchange it for the correct one.
